3 Hours Before Flight Time
Day 1: Marrakech → High Atlas Mountains → Ait Benhaddou → Ouarzazate → Skoura Oasis
Your journey begins at 8:Be picked up at 30 am from Marrakech and will be doing the 4 hours drive through High Atlas Mountains up to Tizi-n-Tichka Pass at an altitude of 2260m. You simply get to view fascinating cliffs, valleys and Berber residences. This town is a UNESCO World Heritage Site in Morocco that regularly appears in international films.
Proceed to the Ouarzazate city taking a tour at Taourirt Kasbah, a famous Moroccan architectures and history. Take a car trip through the Skoura palm groves with the spectacular kasbahs, and spend the night in a beautiful guest house in Ouarzazate (Dar Panorama).
Day 2: Skoura Oasis → Valley of Roses → Dades Valley → Todra Gorges → Merzouga
Dine facing the Skoura Oasis by taking your first morning meal when you wake up. Visit Valley where rose products are specially produced and have the chance to take a tour through Dades Valley. Cross the valley of a thousand kasbahs and make wonderful stops to capture picturesque views.
Tinghir offers excellent opportunity to have a look at palm groves or take a walk through the stunning Todra Gorges. Go on to Merzouga crossing Erfoud town and the area of Tafilalt. Take a camel ride at the feasibility of erg chebbi that is famous for providing an excellent view of the sunset. Spend the night in Bedouin-style tent while listening local music in the night time accompanied by stars.
Day 3: Merzouga → Rissani → Alnif → Draa Valley → Agdez → Tamnougalte
Get up very early to be rewarded by stunning sunrise over the dunes and then ride camels back to Merzouga. Moving on after breakfast you will drive through Rissani which was the ancient capital of the Alaouite dynasty. Travel over the deserts in Alnif and then proceed to Draa valley, the biggest palm grove in the nation.
A guided tour of the palm groves will be followed by a visit to the Tamnougalte village where tourists get an opportunity to meet with the farmers and visit the local Kasbah. Last night in a comfortable guest house (Kasbah Itrane or Dar Amazir), situated in the middle of the valley.
Day 4: Tamnougalte → Ait Saoun Mountains → Ouarzazate → High Atlas Mountains → Marrakech
This morning, continue 150 km on earthen roads weeping by the Ait Saoun mountains and Tizi-n-Tnifift Mountain Pass with striking views of rocky cliffs and Berber villages. Take your lunch in Ouarzazate and you have a chance to dine with real Berber people.
Onward with your return to Marrakech via the High Atlas mountain range. Take time to take photographs of different terrains as one moves from one place to the other. The tour ends in Marrakech where one is dropped at the hotel/riad by sunset after this fantastic desert experience.
