Itinerary

Day 1: Marrakech to Dades Valley

Your 3 Day Desert Tour from Marrakech to Merzouga starts with a pick up of from your hotel in Marrakech early in the morning. Explore the beautiful Atlas Mountains and the Tizi n’ Tichka pass this is the highest in the entire north African region. Beautiful mountain scenery and Berber villages are best seen on the way. These will include stopping over at the Kasbah of Aït Ben Haddou which is a UNESCO world heritage site owing to its architectures and the rich history of the place.

Carry on to the Valley of Roses, the Skoura oasis, and then to the Dades Valley. Spend the night in a lovely hostel, having a Moroccan dinner.

Day 2: Dades Valley to Merzouga

Drive to Merzouga after breakfast then proceed to Todra Gorge known for its high cliffs. Use some of this time to sample what the gorge has to offer especially the beauty that is offered by the gorge. Carry on along the transforming terrains and you will be in Merzouga, which is right at the edge of the Sahara Desert.

Arrive by minibus, then exchange the buses for camels for a thrilling sand dunes ride in the Erg Chebbi. Take a spectacle at the beauty of the sand revolving from one color to another with the setting sun over the sand. Get to your Berber camp in time for dinner, Sumptuous dinners overlooking the stars then spend the night dancing to traditional music and listening to the storytelling from the jeeps to your tent.

Day 3: Merzouga to Marrakech

The beauty of sunrise over the dune and sand is most spectacular, so crown the morning by waking up early. In the morning, set off a camel back to Merzouga and continue with the off-road vehicle. From there start your way back to Marrakech, it is recommended that you drive back through the countryside of Morocco. Take lunch at an accredited restaurant and spend some time within the region taking more pictures.

 Return to Marrakech in the evening, with mind blowing memories of this 3 Day Tour Marrakech to Merzouga.
